Hello, my name is Penny, and I am a bilingual (English/Mandarin) BACP accredited psychotherapist. My passion is to help people overcome their emotional challenges and achieve their personal growth.

I hold a master’s degree in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice from the University of Nottingham. My previous background is in psychology in China. I started fostering my interest in psychology during high-school, and after I graduated from university and did a placement in a hospital, I realised how much I would like to offer people psychotherapy, rather than just medicine.

My Approach

I provide an empathic and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe and accepted. During the sessions, I listen to you, reflect on your words, or ask questions to help me understand you. By reflective listening and responding, I assist you in gaining a deeper understanding of your thoughts and feelings and help you reconnect with your inner values and sense of self-worth.

As the sessions progress, we create a relationship which supports your process of self-exploration and acceptance. Each session focuses on you and gives you the opportunity to learn how to take back control and feel empowered. I help you explore and accept the entire you. You can simply be yourself and follow your heart.
